Guided Tours in German for individuals are offered free of charge on the first Sunday of each month at 2:00 pm. No reservation is required.

Directions:

Public transportation: Take the regional train RB 44 (Mannheim-Mainz) to the Osthofen station. The memorial site is only a three minute walk from the train station. Use the pedestrian underpass and walk to the north (in the direction of Mainz). The memorial site is located on the right (eastern) side of the tracks.

By car:Take Autobahn 61 (A 61, Ludwigshafen-Koblenz) to exit 56: Gundersheim-Westhofen/Osthofen. Drive to Osthofen via Westhofen. In Osthofen follow the turquois signs to the memorial site.

Parking for cars and coaches is available free of charge.

Opening Hours

  • Tuesday to Friday 9 a. m. – 5 p. m.
  • Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 1 p. m. – 5 p. m.
  • Closed on Mondays

Entrance is free.

Guided tours are also available for groups of adults or students (also in english). Please contact us for a reservation.

Accessibility

One designated parking space is available for visitors with disabilities. A hard surfaced walkway leads to the memorial site. The permanent exhibit and the seminar rooms of the Osthofen Concentration Camp Memorial are wheelchair-accessible (slightly ramped). An elevator provides access to all levels. The surface of the entrance area changes from concrete to wooden floors. The permanent exhibit has concrete floors, while the seminar rooms have either wooden or linoleum floors. Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are located on the ground floor. Guided tours for visually impaired visitors in German are available by appointment.
